Peter LaBarbera is founder and president of Americans for Truth About Homosexuality.
Jim and Peter began by discussing New Jersey Governor Chris Christie who signed into law legislation banning professional counselors from using reparative therapy on homosexual youth. The governor also believes that homosexuals are born gay.
Jim had Peter respond to these stories as well:
--The growing pro-homosexual slant at Fox News. Jim also noted that Newscorp, the parent company of Fox News, is heavily funding the National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association.
--A rogue county clerk in New Mexico is issuing same-sex marriage licenses. Peter described this as an example of liberal contempt for the rule of law.
--Bradley Manning, who was convicted in July of stealing three-quarters of a million pages of classified government documents, intends to begin hormone therapy for gender reassignment so that he can live the rest of his life as a woman.
--The U.S. Department of Defense is gearing up to issue I.D. cards to same sex spouses beginning September 3rd. In a related story, Jim reported that the government is giving a type of bonus available only to same-sex couples. It involves giving them government paid leave to travel to a state that recognizes same-sex marriage.
--A Harvard study is saying that the military should embrace openly transgender troops.
--An investigation suggests that multiple partners may become the new norm.
--The high divorce rate is leading some to consider the option of a wedding lease. This means you enter into a relationship for a specific period of time and when the lease is up the couple decides if they want to extend the lease agreement.
--Russian homosexuals are looking to the U.S. for assylum.
