Some time back, President Obama noted that he felt Israel should return to its 1967 borders with land swaps. According to Bill Sutter, Israel, which is only about the size of New Jersey, had no 1967 borders. Those were armistice lines that date back to 1949 and were the lines from which Israel was attacked by its enemies. So with Israel’s small size, to reduce that even more would make the nation basically indefensible.
