Vic “sandwiched” two important news stories within this opinion program where he let listeners get on their “soap boxes” and lead the discussion. The topics listeners brought up included: The presidential candidates, Mormonism, heading toward socialism, taking Christ out of the military, a solution to corporate corruption, and more.
The two topics that Vic covered at the halfway point of the program included:
--A Virginia company has been awarded a $524,927 contract from the FBI to record as much radio talk and news programming as they can find on the Internet.
--The second news item dealt with the Veterans Administration who earlier this summer was accused of censoring the mention of God at funerals for veterans and was either requiring families to submit prayer for approval to the government or not allowing families to have the option of prayer at all. The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, who had been sued by several veterans groups, has agreed to settle a lawsuit over these allegations of religious censorship, at Houston National Cemetery.
