Some people today are afraid to talk about the violence of Islam for fear of being labeled as an “Islamophobe”. The problem is, the threats we hear of jihad and world dominance come from no other religion than the religion of Islam. Open the pages of its holy books, the Qur’an and the Hadith, and there can be no doubt that such calls to violence are a command to all Muslims for all time. In spite of this, there are those who insist that anyone who tries to sound a warning against Islamic violence is too controversial.
Usama Dakdok hosts a daily radio program on the VCY America Radio Network called, “Revealing the Truth about Islam”. He was scheduled to speak at Wisconsin Lutheran College on May 9th. The college administration canceled the event with the school provost indicating that Usama, “...is just too political or extremist and the topic is too sensitive and too pertinent in the light of Boston bombings.” Similar sentiments were also expressed in a letter by school staff member Barbara Wellnitz.
School Public Relations Director Jason Van Acker said the denial had to do with protocol regarding approval to make the invitation.
