Ken Ham is the president, CEO and founder of Answers in Genesis and the highly acclaimed Creation Museum. Ken is a biblical apologist who gives presentations all over the world on the reliability of the Bible and how compromise over Biblical authority has undermined society and even the church. Ken is the author of numerous books including, 'The Lie: Evolution', 'Already Gone', 'Already Compromised' and 'Six Days: The Age of the Earth and the Decline of the Church'. Ken is the visionary behind the construction of a full-size Noah's Ark.
During the first quarter hour, Ken talked about the Creation Museum, discussing the positive impact the resistance of the atheists and secularists has had. He noted how their resistance actually allowed his group to obtain a plot of land closer to the interstate which meant they could build a larger museum than the one that was originally planned.
Ken described a general population study done to see how much interest there would be in relation to the building of a life-size Noah's Ark exhibit. Just on figures for the American population alone, the study indicated that upwards of 2 million people a year would come to see the exhibit and of those 2 million, 60% would be unchurched.
Ken also explained the false nature of the rumors that the state is helping to fund the building of the ark project; resistance from Democrat Speaker Greg Stumbo of Kentucky; the support from Kentucky's governor; how the critics are using the lengthy permit receiving process to make the public think the funding isn't there; the attacks on a literal interpretation of Genesis from within Christianity and more.
