When you hear someone mention the persecuted church, what comes to mind? Do you think of needy, poor and uneducated Third World Christians who are lacking in what we have here in the West to function well? Although Christians in America may see the persecuted church in other parts of the world as needing us, the fact is, in some ways we are in much greater need of them.
This Crosstalk looks at the idea that while we can certainly help persecuted Christians materially, persecution can be a privilege that allows people to know Christ in a way unknown to us in the West. Paul sums this up well in Philippians 1:29.
