Tom DeWeese is the president of American Policy Center.  He is one of the nation’s leading advocates of individual liberty, free enterprise, private property rights, personal privacy, back-to-basics education and American sovereignty and independence and protecting our constitutionally-guaranteed rights.  He is author of Sustainable: The War on Free Enterprise, Private Property and Individuals and the political novel, Erase.

America's farmland is under attack and with that comes an attack on our food supply.  Jim brought up the following examples for Tom to comment on:

• Farmland has been coming under attack as it falls into the hands of communist China.  Chinese-owned entities, some linked to the communist party, have been purchasing land in South Dakota and elsewhere in the U.S.  According to the USDA, estimates of Chinese holdings of U.S. agriculture lands in 2010 was 14,000 acres.  By 2020, that increased more than 25 times to 352,000 acres.

Tom noted that Texas Congressman Chip Roy has introduced the Securing American Land from Foreign Interference Act (HR-344).  The purpose of the legislation is to block communist China from purchasing American farmland. 

• In Arizona, a Saudi owned dairy company is growing alfalfa for the purpose of feeding their livestock in the gulf kingdom.  Also, the ground water has been under attack.   Until recently they were drilling 1,000 feet into the water table, pumping up to 3,000 gallons of water per minute to irrigate those crops.

Why are we allowing a foreign owned company to pump out huge quantities of water for free for crops sent back to Saudi Arabia when the area is under an epic drought?  According to Tom, this highlights the force of global governance and the attack on sovereign nations by having a global economy because examples like this  point to that very thing.

• The Bureau of Land Management, along with leftists, are locking up the land to prevent it from being used for drilling and grazing purposes.

Tom followed up this point by mentioning a plan whereby 50% of all the land in the U.S. would be locked up within the next 7 years.

Next up was this news concerning food consumption:

• New York City will begin tracking the carbon footprint of household food consumption, putting caps on how much red meat can be served in public institutions.  Part of this initiative seeks to achieve a 33% reduction in carbon emissions from food by 2030.

Tom indicated this is all coming from the Great Reset and Klaus Schwab.  In Schwab's book, Covid-19 and the Great Reset, he comes right out and says that capitalism is the target.  They have ESG rules (Environment, Social and Governance) that pile everything under the heading of “sustainable development.”  This is a trigger term to get you to voluntarily give up your liberties in order to be sustainable.  So what the Great Reset is saying is that on Wall Street, corporations that can't prove that their products and processes are sustainable won't be invested in.
