Tom DeWeese is the President of the American Policy Center. Tom is one of the nation's leading advocates of individual liberty, free enterprise, private property rights, personal privacy, back-to-basics education and American sovereignty and independence.
Tom began by mentioning how the government is driving up the cost of using energy so that we'll use less of it. Now, however, they are in a panic due to a glut of American oil reserves and fracking, factors that are driving gasoline prices down. Their answer? Increase taxes on gasoline so we use less. In essence, this is behavior modification through your pocketbook.
Jim played an audio clip of President Obama where he admits that under his plan your electricity rates would skyrocket. Then combine this with his historic carbon emissions agreement with China of which a leading climate expert has noted that our economy would have to collapse in order for our nation to comply.
Could it be that the goal is to collapse the economy? When you see how our government is bringing in illegal immigrants, the attempts to stop coal and putting standing water in farmer's fields under government control what are we to think? At what point does this increase in government control stop? Why are developing nations not backing off their emissions and even increasing them?
