Product Description

Jim Kouri, the fifth Vice President and Public Information Officer of the National Association of Chiefs of Police, has served on the National Drug Task Force and trained police and security officers throughout the country.  He also writes for many police and crime magazines.

Attorney General Eric Holder’s track record is a sketchy one, even when looking back to his time with the Department of Justice during the Clinton administration.  For example, he wanted to give amnesty to certain terrorists.  When he became the Attorney General, one of the first things he did was to begin investigating members of the CIA. During the 2008 election cycle his Justice Department gave a tepid response to Black Panthers that were harassing white voters at the poles in Philadelphia.  He also labeled veterans returning from Iraq as potential extremists.

In the latest news regarding Mr. Holder, Congress has requested numerous documents related to the “Fast and Furious” gun running scheme, yet Mr. Holder has failed to provide them.  In response yesterday, the House Oversight Committee voted 23-17 to hold Mr. Holder in contempt of Congress, a vote that came shortly after President Obama invoked “executive privilege” over the documentation.

Also discussed was the announcement by President Obama last Friday that by executive order he was suspending deportation for illegals under the age of 30 that meet certain requirements.  While he claims this is not amnesty, the timing of this move is interesting considering the fact that the presidential election campaign is only months away.

What exactly is “executive order” or “executive privilege”?  Why is President Obama using it so freely when he promised the American people transparency from his administration?  Find the answers to these questions and more when you review this edition of Crosstalk.
